The Repair Café is Coming to Our Community Centre!

Got a broken toaster, a torn pair of jeans, or a bike that needs a tune-up? Don’t throw it away—bring it to the community centre and get it fixed for free!

We are excited to host the EnviroCollective Repair Café right here at our centre. Skilled volunteer fixers will be on-site to help you repair your broken household items. Instead of sending repairable goods to the landfill, come down to keep your items in use, save money, and learn practical repair skills along the way.

How It Works

• 100% Free: Dedicated volunteer repairers lend their time and expertise at no cost to you.

• Learn as You Go: You’ll sit alongside the fixer during the repair to learn basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and hands-on mending skills for the future.

• Book or Drop In: Secure an appointment slot in advance to make sure a specialist is ready for your specific item, or stop by during the event.

What You Can Bring

• Clothing & Textiles: Hemming, patching, zipper fixes, and general mending.

• Small Electronics & Appliances: Lamps, blenders, power cords, and small appliances.

• Bicycles: Basic tune-ups, chain maintenance, and brake adjustments.

• Jewelry & Small Goods: Clasps, broken chains, wooden items, and general hardware.

(Note: Major household appliances, mobile phones, and smartwatches cannot be accepted. If your item requires a specific replacement part, please purchase and bring it with you!)
