Join Our Board! We're seeking motivated individuals to help guide our organization.
You can join in several capacities:
Board Member (Specific Role): Take on an official, defined leadership position.
Member-at-Large: Contribute your skills and insights without a fixed role.
Volunteer/Observer: Attend meetings to learn how we operate and jump in to help with tasks as needed.
Board meetings are held on a Monday once a month at 7:00 PM. Feel free to drop in on any meeting to see what it's all about!

Youth Champion – Call for Interest
We are looking for one Youth Champion (ages 15–18) to support a 5-day youth-led, arts-based workshop in your community.
About the Youth Champion Role
The Youth Champion is a trusted young person in the community who helps connect the project team with local youth. This is not a formal leadership role; it’s about being approachable, supportive, and respected by peers.
The Youth Champion will:
· Help share information about the art workshops with other youth
· Support recruitment of up to 10 youth participants (ages 12–18)
· Act as a bridge between youth participants and the project team
· Support a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment during the 5-day art workshops
· The Youth Champion will receive honoraria/recognition, mentorship, and leadership experience.
Youth Champion: Suggested Criteria
The ideal Youth Champion:
· Is 15–18 years old
· Lives in the community
· Is trusted and respected by peers
· Is interested in art, creativity, storytelling, or community issues
· Is comfortable encouraging other youth to participate
· Does not need prior research or leadership experience
· Reflects values of inclusion, respect, and collaboration
We especially encourage youth who:
· Care about their community
· Want to amplify youth voices
· Are curious about creative or arts-based projects
Time Commitment
· Light involvement before June, including support with outreach and recruitment in the community
· Participation in a few skill- and capacity-building workshops (training sessions) to strengthen research, leadership, communication, and creative skills
· Attendance during the 5-day youth art workshop in June held in their own community
· Participation in quarterly Advisory Council meetings held at the College Ave Building of the University
· Flexible and youth-friendly scheduling, with scheduling and announcements shared through the Discord platform
· Youth Champions will receive an honorarium ($50 gift card) for attending each capacity-building workshop, Advisory Council meeting, and art workshops
