Grandmothers 4 Grandmothers Regina: Annual Art for the Attic (AFTA) Sale
We are excited to announce that the Grandmothers 4 Grandmothers Regina group will be holding their annual Art for the Attic (AFTA) Sale on September 14th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This much-anticipated event supports the Stephen Lewis Foundation in its efforts to assist Sub-Saharan African communities in the fight against AIDS and HIV.
The AFTA Sale is a fantastic opportunity for our local community to come together. Not only is it a chance to donate used art, but it's also a wonderful venue to purchase "New to You" art pieces.
The South Saskatchewan Community Living Centre is hosting an information session on September 21, 2023, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. The session is designed to provide support to individuals with disabilities or employment barriers such as addictions, mental health issues, newcomers, and immigrants. Services include resume building, cover letter assistance, job searching, interview practice, and monthly courses. Attendees can learn more about the center and how it can help them.
๐ Help Spread the Word! ๐
๐ Good afternoon! We need your help! ๐ข
We're gearing up for the 50th anniversary of the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes on June 2nd at Wascana Park, and we're calling on all community associations to join us in spreading the word!
Type 1 Diabetes affects over 300,000 Canadians with no cure. Every day is a battle, but together, we're making strides towards better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. ๐ช
Here's how you can help:
1๏ธโฃ Print and post our flyer on community center bulletin boards. (PDF attached)
2๏ธโฃ Share our event on social media using the provided JPG.
3๏ธโฃ Spread the word in newsletters, emails, or event calendars.
We don't have a big advertising budget, so every bit of support counts! If you need specific graphics or text, just let us know. Visit www.jdrfwalk.ca for more info.
Thank you for your support! Let's make this year's walk the biggest yet! ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐ถโโ๏ธ #JDRFWalk #CureDiabetes
